Founded in 1970 as a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., HCM has become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction equipment. Pioneering the manufacturing of hydraulic excavators (from 1-ton mini excavators up to 800-ton mining excavators), HCM is also involved into manufacturing wheel loaders, rigid frame trucks, crawler cranes and special purpose machinery.

Another example is the remote control system installed on new Hitachi Zaxis series excavators and on ZW series wheel loaders, designed to optimize productivity.
